Extremely rare original linen cut from the lower wing of a Breguet 14, crashed at Clermont Ferrand, France in 1918, paired with Ron Cole's painting of this aircraft in service with the 96th Aero Squadron.

The fabric measures 1.5x1.5 inches. The framed ready-to-hang display measures 8.5x11 inches. All, including the fabric swatch, is framed under glass.

These pieces of authentic material were cut from the aircraft in 1918 (as described in pencil on the reverse of one of these cut pieces) by a British serviceman who then made them into pages for his personal photo album. They were obtained from the UK recently, minus the photos. In total there were six 6x15 inch linen pieces, folded in the center, obtained in the collection. See detailed photos:
