Japanese Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka Aluminum Skin Relic Display
$220.00
Japanese Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka Modell 11 aluminum skin fragment with original amber-gray paint paired with Ron Cole's artwork in this wall-hanging 11x17-inch display. Signed & numbered - less than 30.
From the personal collection of Col. G. B. Jarrett: Battered but very original section of aluminum fuselage from an Ohka Model 11 with extremely rare and seldom seen amber-gray paint. For decades the actual color of operational Ohka's was a matter of debate, as while several survived World War II they were quickly repainted in rather spurious colors post-war for exhibition.
Each display includes a 1x1-inch piece cut from this larger panel.
All of the latest research concerning the colors and markings of the Ohka went into Ron Cole's artwork of this aircraft as included is each display, and pairs perfectly with this rare specimen that reveals its true and unique coloring.
