RAF Gloster Gladiator Mk. II Camouflaged Linen Relic Display
$150.00
Own and display an authentic piece of camouflaged upper-surface wing linen from Gloster Gladiator Mk.II N5903 of 141 Squadron RAF, paired with Ron Cole's original artwork of this specific aircraft in flight, with history.
History:
This Gladiator was delivered to the Royal Air Force in 1939. It served with 141 Squadron in the opening months of World War II, before being allocated to the Air Ministry Development Pool. After the war, this aircraft was owned by several private individuals before being restored to fly by The Fighter Collection. This piece of original wartime fabric was salvaged in the 1950s, and reveals the wartime tricolor camouflage that was applied over the pre-war silver.
Each display is 11 x 17-inches, framed under glass and ready to hang. Each is signed and numbered - one to thirty - by the artist.
