North American F-86 Sabre Relic Display

America's first swept-wing jet fighter, the F-86 Sabre joined the ranks of great fighter aircraft during combat operations high above the Yalu River in Korea. Even though they could not pursue the enemy across the Chinese border, Sabre pilots established an impressive shoot-down advantage against enemy MiGs.
Ron Cole has painted the F-86F in the markings of the 336th Fighter Interceptor Squadron (Rocketeers) over the Korean mountains c. 1953. He's paired his original artwork with a 2 x 5 inch piece of aluminum skin from the lower wing of this aircraft - natural metal on one side and zinc chromate green on the other.

This piece comes in an 11 x 17 inch frame as pictured - ready to hang. Signed and numbered. One of only thirty.
