The Douglas Skyraider was designed during World War II, but didn’t see combat until the Korean War through the war in Vietnam. With an illustrious combat history in the ground attack role, more than 3000 Skyraiders were built from 1945 through 1957. This original fragment of upper- surface aluminum skin comes from Skyraider s/n 126867, now in storage and awaiting restoration.
The wall-hanging display is 8.5x11, and each is signed and numbered by Ron Cole. Very limited quantities!
