Own an authentic steel section from the first man-made object to enter space - the V-2 rocket - paired with Ron Cole's original painting, in a 16 x 20 inch custom-trimmed open frame. Signed and numbered, on matte canvas. Ready to hang.
The V-2 was the world's first long-range guided ballistic missile and the first ever man-made object in space. Designed originally by a German team, led by Werner von Braun, a V-2 entered space (the Karman Line) on June 20th, 1944.
This steel section of the rocket body was excavated near the site of Peenemünde Army Research Center in the 1990s.
