Own an especially rare piece from the underside wingtip of this Junkers Ju 87 'Stuka'. This B-2, Werknummer 5956, participated in the opening phase of Operation Barbarossa - Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union. Flying with Lehrgeschwader 1, this Stuka was brought down by anti-aircraft fire near the town of Salia, Russia, on the 26th of July, 1941.
The unique yellow-orange RLM paint was applied to the underside of Luftwaffe aircraft wingtips on the Eastern Front for identification purposes. This 8.5x11 wall-hanging display includes a 1x1 duraluminum piece of skin from this Stuka's port wing.
