German V-2 Missile Relic Display

The V-2 was the world's first long-range guided ballistic missile. One of Germany's only strategic weapons of World War II, it was used against Allied population centers towards the end of the war. The V-2 was the first man-made object to travel into space on June 20th 1944.
This steel section of the rocket body was excavated near the site of Peenemünde Army Research Center in the 1990s.
