North American XB-70 Valkyrie Relic Display - White Paint & Titanium Honeycomb 2

Own a piece of one of the most famous aircraft in the history of the United States Air Force!

One of the fastest aircraft ever built, the North American XB-70 was originally designed as a high-speed strategic bomber for the United States Air Force. Due to costs and investment into ballistic missile technology, however, only two XB-70s were ever built and both were used as advanced test aircraft into the 1960s. On June 8th 1966, the second prototype (serial number 62-0207) was involved in a mid-air collision and crashed. The sole surviving example was retired in 1969 and is on permanent display in the USAF Museum, Dayton, Ohio.

This 2.25x1.25 inch piece of laminated honeycomb titanium retains much of its gloss white exterior paint! Very rare!

Wall hanging display measures 8.5x11
