Luftwaffe Focke Wulf Fw 190 D-9 'Dora' of 3./JG 2 'Richthofen' display: This aircraft, Blue 13, took part in Operation Bodenplatte on January 1, 1945 - the last air offensive by the Luftwaffe in World War II. While attacking the Allied airfield at Zutendaal, Belgium, this D-9 was shot down and crashed near the town of Asch. In 2004, parts of this aircraft were excavated by well-known aircraft archaeologist Christiaan Vanhee.

This display combines the original artwork of Ron Cole, depicting 'Blue 13' in action on the morning of January 1, 1945 in Bodenplatte - with a 2 x 3 inch of aluminum from this actual aircraft.
