Special 8.5 x 11inch relic display of the famous LZ 129 Hindenburg airship, lost in May 1937 during it's attempted landing at Lakehurst Naval Air Station, New Jersey, on May 6th 1937. The 1x.5 inch fabric swatch retains most of its aluminum dope coating.

Original fabric from the Hindenburg crash is extremely rare. All known examples were taken from the tail section of the Zeppelin, some of which fell clear of the fire (see image).
