SPECIAL North American XB-70 Valkyrie White Honeycomb Steel Skin Relic Display

Own a rare piece of one of the most famous aircraft in the history of the United States Air Force! Steel alloy 'honeycomb' laminate skin with original exterior white paint. Part of the 2nd XB-70 prototype.

One of the fastest aircraft ever built, the North American XB-70 was originally designed as a high-speed strategic bomber for the United States Air Force. Due to costs and investment into ballistic missile technology, however, only two XB-70s were ever built and both were used as advanced test aircraft into the 1960s. On June 8th 1966, the second prototype (serial number 62-0207) was involved in a mid-air collision and crashed. The sole surviving example was retired in 1969 and is on permanent display in the USAF Museum, Dayton, Ohio.

This is the part and display you will receive. 8.5 x 11-inches.
