*** Special 20x16-inch one-of-a-kind display by Ron Cole with unique and rare pieces of this historic aircraft ***

.

The French-designed Nieuport 28 is regarded as the first operational fighter aircraft to see service with the United States military.

This display includes a very rare 10.5x4-inch original fuselage structure section and original linen from a Nieuport 28 that served operationally with the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) during World War I before being transported Stateside post-war. This aircraft later starred in Howard Hughes's Hollywood film Hell's Angeles, and later in Men With Wings. It was also a part of The Jarrett Museum of World War History and these pieces were gifted to noted collector Robert Boehme in 1956.
