Boeing B-29 Superfortress 'Big Time Operator' Cockpit Relic Display

Boeing B-29 Superfortress 'Big Time Operator' (s/n 42-24791) flew 46 combat missions over Japan with the 20th Air Force, 313th Bomb Wing, 9th Bomb Group, 1st Bomb Squadron, from Guam and later Tinian in 1945. Retired after the war to China Lake, most of the aircraft was scrapped, and the nose section was recovered for preservation. This piece of flame-retardant fabric was cut from the cockpit area of this aircraft.
